NDA operates on a 10 month fall season running from mid-August to mid-May annually, ending in a May recital performance. We normally begin fall session enrollment in the late Spring and continue enrollment through the first of the year. We also offer exciting summer camps, beginning in June.
Class levels for our recreational program are primarily based on age (by October 1st) and years in the program. Ballet classes are designed to spend two years at each level. Pointe classes are based on teacher recommendation. The Company Program requires an audition (held in June).
Each dance class will follow a syllabus specifically designed for their age/ability, learning all sorts of fun routines and dance moves throughout the year. During the holidays, we have an informal in-studio Holiday performance where we invite families to come and watch. We also offer two Family Weeks where family members are invited into class to see all the child is learning (and to maybe get a great video of their hard work!) Our calendar is full of great special events such as “Bring A Friend Week”, “Costume Week”, “Fun Bun Week”, “Spirit Week” and much much more! We like our dance classes to be full of learning and also full of FUN!

$40 annual registration fee per family payable at the time of registration. First month’s tuition is also required by the first class. Payments are non-refundable.
Our season runs from Mid-August through Mid-May. The tuition rate is for the entire season (10 months). It is not based on the number of classes during a month, but on the entire duration of our season. We offer free registration and a 5% discount for one full year’s payment if paying with a credit card and a 10% discount if paid in full by cash or check.
Class fees are automatically deducted from your credit card on file on the 15th of the month, beginning August 15th, 2018. A $20 late fee will be assessed on the 23rd of each month for any unpaid tuition fees. No Exceptions. Dancers with unpaid tuition by the last day of the month will be unable to attend any further classes.
We produce a dance recital at the end of the year with all dancers participating. This is an exciting end to the dance season! The shows will be on the Saturday just prior to Memorial Day, annually. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to and we encourage all dancers to participate. Details regarding recital will be posted on our Spring Recital page, as well as announced by your teachers and on our Facebook page.
Approximately $85 each. Payments are auto-deducted on Nov 15th. Costume payments are non-refundable.
We do not sell individual tickets for recital. Rather, we invite you to bring as many or as few friends and family members at a flat $50 per family. Recital fees will be auto deducted on April 1. This fee helps cover the costs associated with putting on the production, and includes a special year end gift for the dancer.
All of our dance classes require some sort of proper shoes & attire to participate in class. Hair should be pulled back off face for all classes. A bun must be worn for ballet class. Don’t forget to write your name in all shoes, bags, etc. For descriptions and examples of the proper attire for each class visit our What to Wear page.

Class cancellations due to inclement weather conditions will be announced by 9 am weekdays (7:00 am on Saturdays) and 2 pm for afternoon/evening classes. Notifications of weather cancellations will be posted on our Facebook page and announced on our outgoing voice mail message.
Our staff is always available during office hours to answer any questions you might have. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, please call to set up an appointment as we rarely have time between classes. You may also e-mail us at email@example.com
NDA will use the cell phone number provided on your online dance account for occasional texting alerts, normally relating to weather and scheduled closings. You can save the following phone number into your phone contacts, so that you will know that NDA is texting you: (614) 914-2825. This number is not monitored and text replies are not received. Text alerts will only go to the main cell phone number on the account.
Q: How do I let the studio know that my dancer will miss their upcoming class?
A: Please call the front desk staff at 740-548-4600 to let us know that your dancer will be missing class. You may leave a voicemail with the information if we are currently unavailable. Please do not email the studio to report absences. Thank you.
Q: My dancer missed a class, can I be refunded?
A: To ensure full enjoyment and continued growth in dance, regular attendance is essential. If notification is received prior to missing a class OR if a class has been canceled by NDA due to weather conditions, a make-up class may be arranged. Parents may view our online schedule and find the same level class (or a close as possible to your dancer’s current level class). Make sure that the class is not marked as “FULL”, as there will not been an open spot for your dancer. You do not need to contact the office. You may just show up to this class and let the teacher know you are taking a make-up class. Missed classes are not refunded.
Q: Are there safety procedures for all the traffic in the parking lot?
A: Yes! For the safety of our dancers, we have designed our parking lot to be ONE-WAY. Please remember to enter and exit the NorthPointe parking lot with the designated flow of traffic. Vehicles should enter through the front entrance (by the stone NorthPointe sign) and exit out the back. Please do not enter off of the cul-du-sac or exit out the front. Thank you.
Q: When are the doors locked at the studio?
A: For your dancer’s safety, our east/side door is locked at 8:30pm nightly. The studio front/main entrance is locked at 9pm nightly, when the front desk closes. Dancers and families will still be able to exit the building after it is locked. Please plan accordingly.
