Miguel Anaya has been a Ballet Met Company Member since 2015. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Miguel graduated from the Cuban National Ballet School in 2012. He has trained with Ramona de Saa, Marta Iris, Nor Maria, Ana Julia Bermudez, Magaly Suarez, Alicia Alonso, Fernando Alonso and Alberto Mendez. He danced with the Washington Ballet Company during the 2014-15 season, performing various Septime Webre ballets including Sleepy Hollow and Alice in Wonderland. Mr. Anaya also danced the role of Siegfried in Kirk Peterson’s Swan Lake while with the Washington Ballet. Mr. Anaya was invited to the Varna International Ballet Competition in 2010 and the Youth America Grand Prix in 2011. In 2012, he won the Grand Prix National Competition in Cuba, and performed as a soloist dancer with Ballet Nacional de Cuba with Alicia Alonso. While dancing with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba, he performed as Basilio in Don Quixote.

Anna was born and raised in Westerville, Ohio where she started taking dance at the age of 3. As a young girl she was a successful competitive dancer where she won many different local and national awards, as well as a local Star Search competition. At the age of 18 she moved to New York City to pursue her dream as a Radio City Rockette. Anna performed with the Rockettes for 8 years. While with the Rockettes she performed on the Today Show, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, The Rachel Ray Show, the Nate Berkus Show, and performed in many other televised appearances locally and nationally. She also toured the country tap dancing with the First National Broadway Tour of 42nd Street. Currently, Anna is a dance teacher at Otterbein University and choreographs and teaches for local studios. She also is a certified Pilates instructor and a mom of a 2 year old little girl.

Kesha, Rec Coach at Gym X-Treme, is a former Level 5 All-Star Cheerleader. She has coached cheerleading and tumbling for over 10 years. During that time she has coached 2 National Champion All-Star squads, as well as won Best Choreography awards in 2010 & 2013. Kesha is a graduate of Roy C. Start H.S.

Katie Devine is entering her senior year at The Ohio State University, majoring in Human Resources and minoring in Organizational Psychology. Katie trained at Northpointe from age 5 until she graduated at age 18 and also taught dance to students during her high school years. Katie continues to dance on The Ohio State University’s Dance Team, where the team most recently placed 1st in both the pom and jazz categories at the UDA Collegiate National Championships.

Zoica began her ballet training at the age of nine at the Alejo Campentier ballet school in Cuba. She was later accepted at Ballet Clasico de la Havana under the direction of Laura Alonso. Her talent and her dedication to the profession allowed her to become a principal ballerina. Her achievements include a silver medal in the Alicia Alonso competition in Cuba and a silver medal in Brazil. Some of the roles she has performed include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Kitri and Mercedes in Don Quixote, and many others. In 1998 Zoica joined Orlando Ballet as principal ballerina, under the direction of Fernando Bujones. She has also performed the works of choreographers such as Twyla Tharp, Fernando Bujones, Val Caniparoli, Lila York, Salimm Galows, David Parson, Bruce Marks, David Nixon and many others. In 2007 Zoica received the Sun Award Spanish Chamber of Commerce Metro Orlando for her dedication and contribution to the art in Orlando. In 2009 Zoica joined BalletMet under the direction of Gerard Charles. Zoica has recently retired from Ballet Met and is very excited to continue her career in ballet with our students here at NorthPointe.

Kimberlee has been dancing and tumbling for over 40 years. Kim has studied with many nationally and internationally known master teachers. She coached at Woodward Gymnastics Camp and is United States Gymnastics Federation Certified in safety and spotting. Her other certification includes Barre Blend. Kimberlee attended the Adult Rockette experience at Point Park University. She has also studied with master teachers in New York City, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland. She has also worked with Oglebay Institute’s Youth Ballet and performed in The Nutcracker with the Wheeling Symphony as well as many other Oglebay Institute productions. In 2013, 2014, and 2015 Kim worked with the Moscow Great Russian Nutcracker children’s cast. She works with the Augusta Levy Learning Center to teach movement, tumbling, and dance with autistic children. Kim is also the movement specialist for the adult Program for Russell Nesbitt’s Special Needs program, and she coaches Linsly tumbling and OVAC cheerleaders for Linsly. She assists with the choreography for OI for the WV DAnce Festival and has attended the Festival for over 12 years. Kimberlee is the proud wife of Jay Kafana, and the very proud mom of J’lyse. This is Kimberlee’s 18th year with Oglebay Institute.

Christina has been teaching dance for fifteen years. Christina began her dance training at the age of three in New York. She trained at the Rochester City Ballet, as well as fifteen years at her local dance studio. Christina was part of the Tremaine Dance Company and was fortunate to travel all over the United States performing and assistant teaching with many teachers such as Wade Robson, Doug Caldwell, Joelle Martinec, Desire Robinson, and Keri LaGrand. Christina has held the title of Regional Senior Outstanding Dancer for New York City Dance Alliance and has worked with the faculty of N.Y.C.D.A. Christina was also awarded the title of Miss Dance of Western New York. Outside of dance, Christina works in the NICU as a nurse. Christina, her husband Kyle and two children Audrey and Owen have recently moved to Columbus from New York.
