  8. On days when you wanted to quit, what kept you going?
On the days that I wanted to quit I would always think about the team that I was committed to. From a very early age, dance taught the importance of putting the group before yourself. Not only did I promise them that I would give it my all in the dance room, they were my family. My teachers and teammates were my family and I couldn’t let them down.
  9. What is your advice to the next generation?
My advice to the next generation is to never take a moment for granted. 12 years of company at Northpointe went by so fast. Your years at NDA are once in a lifetime memories. Traveling with your friends and teammates is not something that everyone gets to do and the jitters and excitement that competition day brings is unlike anything else. Never take these things for granted because when it’s your time to graduate from Northpointe you’re going to want one more pep rally, wish for another big/lil sis party, or to dance on stage just one more time.
  10. What will you miss most about dancing at NDA?
The little things that made Northpointe my second home. Whether it was planning for everyone to match or making up dances the week before winter break. The things that our team would do from year to year or traditions that were set by Barb & Kathy. One of my favorite traditions was choreography camp. We would all get to the studio EXTRA early just to look at all the songs and costumes, it was so exciting. Don’t just look past the little things because I know that will be what I miss most next year.
